A safe and exciting ride for everyone, including novice riders and children. You will ride along beautiful deserted Pakiri Beach, over white sand dunes and through lush pohutukawa groves, with magnificent views of Little Barrier and the Hen and Chicken Islands.Two Hour Ride
A wonderful scenic ride. We follow beautiful Pakiri beach, then ride up through high sand dunes and over coastal hills overlooking, returning through native bush and along Pakiri’s magnificent white sands.Half Day Ride
A superb nature experience. We ride along beautiful Pakiri Beach, through native bush and over green farmland with magnificent sea views to the islands. We finish our adventure along an estuary alive with coastal and seagoing birdlife.Full Day Ride
Follow the foot trail used by our warrior ancestors as they protected their lands from other tribes. Riding along the deserted sands of Pakiri Beach and through exotic pine forests, we reach secluded fresh water lakes where we enjoy a packed lunch and, if the weather is warm, swim your horses. We then ride up over Te Arai Point before returning over secret dune tracks and native bush trails.The Sundowner
Watch the sun set below the western hills. Ride along the beach as it is bathed in golden light under a white, pink and gold sunset. Experience the magic of finishing the day on horse back, then stop for refreshments and enjoy the tranquillity of the beach as evening falls. This ride is a wonderful way to unwind after a hard day working in the city.Ride durations may be shorter or longer, depending on the experience and capability of the riders. On each ride, we allow the amount of time that we believe is most comfortable for both our horses and our riders.
